Website Samsung Firmwares has managed to have a sneaky peak at the Samsung Galaxy Tab firmware – thus revealing a few more hints as to what we can expect. To be honest nothing here seems to condradict what has already been discussed here at SammyTablet already, but it is always good to see we are on the righ lines!
So it looks like the Tab will share the Galaxy S phone’s processor, a 1.0 GHz S5PC110. We can expect a 800×480 resolution 7 inch screen.
The firmware leak also confirms the expected 3.2 megapixel rear camera (2048 x 1536) for taking photos and video combined with a smaller front facing one (320 x 240) designed for video chat.
We can anticipate the following running on the Android 2.2 based tablet:
- Swype keyboard
- Flash
- WiFi
- GPS
It is thought that the Galaxy will go official at the upcomming IFA trade show in September, so not long to wait until we know what the specification of the new Samsung Tablet will be. And more importantly, how much will the Samsung Galaxy Tab cost?
Got any thoughts to share, let us know in our forum. I hope to be one of the first UK owners so stop by and let me know what you think.
